Welcome to Bristol Samba
AKA Dismaland's Anarcho Samba!

Bristol Samba is a community band of drummers and dancers playing energetic Brazilian-based music for celebrating and dancing. The samba band and dancers perform at festivals, parties and events throughout the year, raising the roof and creating a vibrant atmosphere. Click on the buttons to discover where we'll be performing, how to book the band for your own event, and how to join us. Bristol Samba promotes, supports and develops percussion-based music and related carnival arts, particularly in our local community. The band has been performing for over twenty-five years, since its formation under the name Bristol School of Samba.

It's Harbour Festival time!

Bristol Samba will be returning to perform at Bristol Harbour Festival this year! There are two opportunities to see us, first we will be playing at 1.15pm in the Dance Village, Queen Square, then again at the Louisiana at 5pm. Plus there's lots of fantastic entertainment going on all weekend!

Rainbow Run!

Our next appearance will be at the Rainbow Run on Clifton Downs this Saturday 17th July - a fantastic event for a great charity, Children's Hospice South West. Looking forward to keeping the runners' energy levels up!

Our next gig is one for all you petrolhead sambistas out there ... we'll be appearing at Bristol Volksfest this Sunday, 11th June. We'll be performing at 10am and 1pm, so come and say hello!
