Feel like dancing?

If you feel inspired to dance with Bristol Samba then we would love to meet you! See the post below or click on 'Join Us' for details. Don't come next Monday, 24th October, though - we're having a week off practice! ;)

Come Dance With Us!

Like to try one of our dance classes? Newcomers are always welcome any time! Our friendly teacher, Evie Gkatzioufa, has a wealth of experience and her enthusiasm will soon get your hips swaying to a variety of Brazilian dance styles, whatever your ability. You'll gradually learn choreographed pieces aimed towards dancing with our drummers, but you don't have to perform - just enjoy toning your body to infectious rhythms. Every Monday - Beginners hour class, starts 7.30 pm at Trinity Centre. Improvers start 8.45 pm. Weekly drop in is £6 (£5 concessions) or pay in 8 week blocks of £45 (£35 concessions). Any queries? Call Evie on 07774 111463 or email dancers@bristolsamba.co.uk.

Bristol Half Marathon

Our next gig is an early one! We'll be giving the Bristol Half Marathon runners a spring in their step starting from 10.30am near the Shakespeare Tavern on Prince Street in the centre. Give us a wave as you run by!

What's that coming over the hill ...? ;)

... is it a monster? Is it a myth? It's Bristol Samba at Shambala Festival next Bank Holiday Weekend, 26-28th August! Can't wait to see all you fellow Shambaholics and your legendary costumes. We'll be booming up for Fruity Friday, Carnival, dance workshops ... see you there!

Rio Fanzone

Join us in Millenium Square this Sunday August 21st between 3 and 4pm - we'll be providing Brazilian beats at Big Screen Bristol Official Team GB FanZone for Rio2016. Maybe have a go at some sport yourself - it's FREE!

Yaaar!

Well shiver me timbers - if it isn't Bristol Harbour Festival 2016 next Sat 16th July! It's a double barrel of samba as at midday we'll be invading SS Great Britain's Radio Bristol Stage, then setting sail for mayhem and mutiny at The Louisiana from 3pm onwards. Be warned ye land lubbers!

Stay up late with Bristol Samba

Our next public appearance will be this Saturday, 9th July when we'll be performing for the St Peter's Hospice Midnight Walk, starting and finishing at Ashton Gate Stadium. Come along - you could raise money for an excellent cause too!
